Shipping & Returns
Last updated: August 2026
I want you to love wearing your jewelry as much as I loved making it. Here’s what to expect, from the moment your order ships to the day it arrives, and beyond.
Shipping
Hunt Fine Jewelry currently ships within Canada.
- In-stock pieces ship within 2–3 business days.
- Made-to-order pieces (most Classics) are made just for you and ship in 1–3 weeks.
- Custom commissions and heirloom redesigns take 4–8 weeks, and occasionally longer depending on the intake process, sourcing specific stones, or the complexity of the design. I’ll keep you updated throughout, and if a piece is taking longer than expected, you’ll hear from me directly. I don’t like leaving people wondering. You can always reach out to me with questions, too.
All shipments are insured under my own coverage, so your piece is protected from the moment it leaves my studio until it’s in your hands.
Returns & Exchanges
Because most of what I make is handcrafted just for you, my policy looks a little different from a typical retailer’s, but my goal is that I want you to end up with a piece you’re overwhelmingly happy with.
Ready-made pieces
If a ready-made piece isn’t quite right, reach out within 14 days of delivery and let’s fix that. I’m happy to help you find the right size or the right piece. After that window, just reach out anyway. We’ll figure it out together, case by case.
Made-to-order and custom pieces
Made-to-order Classics, fully custom commissions, and anything made with your gold are final sale and can’t be returned or refunded, since each one is made specifically for you. That said, if something isn’t quite right, please tell me. I can often tweak or remake a piece — additional costs may apply depending on the scope of the change — but I’d much rather work with you to get it right than have you stuck with something you don’t love.
Workmanship Guarantee
I stand behind every piece I make. My ideal client group is thoughtful people, and I truly hope you’re here because you love craftsmanship, too.
- Faulty workmanship: if something goes wrong with the construction of your piece within the first year, I’ll repair it at no cost to you.
- Wear and tear: life happens. Rings get bumped and chains get pulled. I’ll repair it for you at cost, no markup, for as long as you own the piece. I think of gold as a living metal: it accumulates signs of the life it has shared with you over time. Scratches are normal and part of the character of fine jewelry!
I only repair jewelry I’ve made myself, since I know exactly how each piece was built. If you own a piece from elsewhere, I’m still happy to talk through a redesign or reuse of the materials, just come find me on the Contact page and let’s chat.
